Mori's Room

Mori flipped covers, threw mangas across the room over his shoulder, and laid down on the floor to look under the bed. How annoying, where did he put it? The neko stood up and he sighed as he looked around with narrowed eyes. He wasn't so sure about this now. Let's see...The drawer! Of course! The place where he always placed his katana. He jumped up onto the bed and crawled across quickly with his tail wagging behind him and opened the top drawer to reveal the katana he always carried around neatly placed upon its stand and...the small black book he had recieved from his father. Grinning ear to ear, he picked it up and flipped through the pages. He was greeted with black white knowledge upon these pages and though most would have pondered this concept, the neko couldn't stop from grinning. Settling on one page, he smiled down on it till writing starting to crawl across the pages and ink forming into words. Seeing directions and pictures of origami figures, the satisfied neko nodded and stood up, finding his shoes near the front door. He stepped over and slipped them on. Before he had gotten lost in his room, he had heard Kyuzo wanting for him to come over if he found the time or the book. Stamping twice as he got his shoe on, Mori exited the apartment and locked up before going to Kyuzo's.

Mori walked inside of his apartment and dumped his things on his bed before walking to the bathroom after gathering a spare change of clothes. A few moments pass and he comes back out with shorts and a long sleeved shirt, toweling off his black hair. The neko threw the towel on the doorknob of the bathroom and retrieved his phone and wallet before glancing to the mirror before looking back with a frown. Seeing some marks on his neck made his ears twitch before he recieved a scarf and wrapped it around him then picking up a sleeveless hoodie with a fur hood making his scarf look more like an outfit than random accessory.
He slipped his hands into the pockets of his shorts and walked out of his apartment again as he planned to go pick up Nana and her friend at his brother's house.

Mori walked in, leading Kyuzo inside and he let go of his friend's hand to tidy up a bit, picking up some clothes from the floor and dumping them into the laundry hamper and he walked over to the bed, pulling things off such as paperwork from who knows where and started stacking them on the desk and he grabbed the ipod and cellphone that were left there too and he set them all on his desk, trying to get them out of the way. He looked over his desk, wondering if he should clean up his room sometime soon. The idea certaintly did look like a pleasant one. He wasn't sure why he just never did it in the first place. Maybe it was his priorites that were messed up. The neko gazed down at the pile of papers absently flipping through them as he organized them and put them away in folders and binders and other such things on his desk, staying silent as he tried to focus and get this done.

Kyuzo followed Mori through the living room to his room and well he did notice the two girls sleeping on the couch and he smiled some. Feeling himself smile just made him chuckle weakly yet silently for both of the girls were cute. Looking to Mori did he come back to reality seeing Mori clean up his room and he watched Mori of course before looking to the bed. Kyuzo walked to it and silently did he take off the top part of his kimono leaving the underlayer on and seeing the bandages did Kyuzo frown to it. Closing his eye tightly did he sit on the edge of the bed and lifting his head up did he look to Mori. "Mori-san?" Noticing himself asking for Mori did he look to side trying to hide the bandages from Mori's view by pulling the underlayer of his kimono up and over it.

Mori scrambled through the papers but he noticed that he had a lot more than he thought he did. With a frustrated frown, he slapped the papers onto the desk and started picking through some other folders but Kyuzo's voice brought him back to reality and he glanced at the man from over his shoulder and he stared before nodding really quick just one and he grabbed his phone, turning it on silent so it wouldn't wake up Kyuzo if it were to rign. He walked over and set it on the bedside table and approached Kyuzo with a small worried look. He didn't mention the bandages he had seen when he had looked at Kyuzo before and he asked him curiously.
"What's wrong? Do you want me to get into bed with you right now?"
He asked the last question, because he didn't know the man was this tired but he was willing to curl up next to Kyuzo if needed and he would stay there because Kyuzo didn't want him to leave his side.

Kyuzo glanced upward to Mori which in a way showed how nervous he was being and so he placed his right hand up and taking a soft hold of Mori's hand. "It is up to you, Mori-san." Smiling a little bit did he take a hold of Mori's other hand. Kyuzo had both of Mori's hands into his own and though he tried to hide the bandages, they were now shown since his hands were not keeping them hidden now. The 185 year old didn't notice it since he wanted to focus only on Mori, when he however saw Mori's worried expression did that make Kyuzo frown. "Mori-san?"

Mori blinked as Kyuzo took a hold of his hand's and he made a sigh of relief as Kyuzo smiled, feeling better now that the man was okay for he thought that there was something wrong when he was called. He shook his head to show that it was nothing after noticing Kyuzo's frown and he removed one of his hands from Kyuzo's to softly finger the edge of the Kimono, fingertips brushing the bandages underneath. The neko flicked his ears back in his hair and he looked into Kyuzo's eyes.
"You're hurt..."
He murmere quietly before catching himself and he moved his hand away, sitting down on the bed next to Kyuzo and he messed with the pills for a bit before crawling into the middle.
"Nevermind. Nap, first. Then I'll check over your injuries."

Kyuzo looked to his chest and he closed his eye for he obviously forgot about the bandages, not to long ago he tried to ignore them when really he wanted to hide them. Looking to Mori silently and hearing what he had said made him frown some and that frown went away and all that was left was for Kyuzo to show a blank face. Though it wasn't blank long for he showed a worried expression himself. "Hai, leave it to the humans to experiement on me when I was held captive." Kyuzo fixed himself to lay in the bed next to Mori and closing his eye did he sigh lightly, hearing what Mori said made him look to him with his eye now open. "All that it is are scars, all you would really have to do is place some medicine over them so they don't leave any scabs or such." Kyuzo didn't like treating his own wounds, especially the ones that he had gotten from the humans. Closing his eye again did he try to focus on sleep which sort of helped some since Mori was near him.

Mori sighed slightly to what his friend said but it was true...The humans were ruthless. The neko blinked as he noticed Kyuzo getting into bed with him and he fixed the blankets around his friend like a mother would have done which was rather comical in its own way then he just relaxed against the wall behind him, not wanting to lay down. His cat instincts told him to stay up anyway, the neko couldn't sleep even if he wanted to. The black haired teen watched Kyuzo, surprised at how quickly he closed his eyes and relaxed then watched with slight envy at how quickly the other was able to just fall asleep like that. The neko watched and watched before he dared to reach out with a hand and pet Kyuzo's hair back away from his face, staring at the familar features but also the new ones like the mask for instance and the red eyes but Kyuzo's eyes were closed. The neko sighed contently and he continued to tun his hands through Kyuzo's black hair, smiling slightly in the dark.

Kyuzo felt the petting through his hair and tried his best to not twitch but actually it did sooth him to relax more and as he relaxes to the touch he could not help but sigh again. Keeping his eye closed did he take in small steady breathes which were almost hesitant, but after sometime did he begin to breath normally and actually come to sleep peacefully. Kyuzo actaully didn't remember when the last time he had relaxed so well, all that he can think about was sleep and being near Mori. Actually he was happy that he was with Mori right now, cause if he wasn't then chances are he may still be with the humans and having them do even worse things to him.

Mori continued to absently pet Kyuzo's hair, his eyes directed towards the opposite wall though he wasn't really staring at it, his thoughts were keeping him distracted as they usually did when he was awake at night and he didn't seem to notice that the room was growing darker and darker till his eyes closed and his hand stopped on Kyuzo's head, his breath quiet and still as if he weren't even breathing in the first place.

Slithering...Like a snake...or something dragging itself along the floor in slow slow motions...It was dark. He couldn't see but he could hear them all around like he was stuck into some sort of pit but he was aware that it was just a room. It wasn't going to do anything to him but he could still hear it moving around him in agonizingly slow circles. He blinked, suddenly able to see. A dark gray room, a shadow across the room and a figure in them, not a 3d figure but a shape on the gorund resembling something like a dog. It would convulse and it would twitch an suddenly it was like a movie that somehow allowed for it to get up out of the ground, out of its cage and it crawled closer, paws dragging across the ground. Mouth opening to reveal rows of teeth, white and sharp like daggers. it would lunge forward with pink tongue flapping and the dream would end with a splash of blood.

Mori opened his eyes. It would have been a jerk if he wasn't so aware of another presence in the room. He glanced to Kyuzo and relaxed. If he were alone, he probably would have curled up and cried...but now he had to hold back and continued staring at the wall...Not even thirty minutes had passed...

Kyuzo continued to sleep and all that he could remember was faint distant talking, his mask began to hurt after hearing these things and as it hurt did he try to think of another thing. Laughter of his sister was heard now which made things hard for him. Kyuzo was finally asleep but even now that he was sleeping he was still not free from these tormenting thoughts and nightmares. Without realizing it did Kyuzo shiver and twitch all in the same movement. The talking was gone and all that can be heard in his nightmare was noises of metal and the sound of strapping noises. Kyuzo remembered this and actually he didn't want to dream about it. Closing his eye tightly was Kyuzo shivering and before to long he awoke from his sleep and turn drastically to the side as he covered his face from view. Kyuzo felt burning on the left side of his face and it was the mask, he was sure of it.

Mori blinked as he noticed the shuffling around well there was hardly anything else to do while he was just sitting there awake and he blinked as he watched Kyuzo shift around for a bit and he stared for a moment more as he took note that Kyuzo seemed to be trying to bury his mask into the pillow instead of his actual face. The neko's ears seemed to twitch as he watched and he sighed with a bit of finality and he snuggled up to Nora, worming his warm into the other's arms with a little difficulty and he curled up near him, hoping that the contact would distract him and instead keep his mind off the other's nightmares.

Kyuzo jumped and he looked to Mori before closing his eyes and looking downward with faint sweat coming off of his face. That nightmare that he had just remembered was actually one that he did not want to remember. Kyuzo's head hurt lightly as the images of when they placed that mask on his face still tormented him and he guessed that was why they called the mask that. "Gomen, Mori-san." Kyuzo said this tiredly, and though he had slept alright it was still not enough considering he was tired but he didn't want to sleep and have that same nightmare attack him.

Mori blinks as he realizes he woke up Kyuzo and he sweatdrops, feeling that he was the one who was supposed to be apologizing and he shook his head to show that he wasn't bothered by anything that Kyuzo was doing and instead, he closed his eyes and curled closer to Kyuzo, thankful that the other was there though still feeling a tad bit guilty about waking him up and he forced himself not to fall asleep though he was closing his eyes.


"No, it was my fault."

"You are not at fault for my nightmares." Kyuzo may as well tell Mori the truth, and as he speaks about his nightmare just not in full detail did he close his eye silently before placing his head right over Mori's and as he did that did he move his head away and sigh, Softly placing his arms around Mori did he place his lips upon Mori's forehead and as he did that did it ease his fear of his nightmare. Right now, Kyuzo was afraid to go back to sleep for he didn't want to feel the mask as well as see it being placed upon his face and he never wanted anyone to go through the same thing he had to go through.

"I thought I woke you up."

Mori was silent as Kyuzo spoke of his nightmare and he closed his eyes, burying his face into the man's chest and tried not to think about the man's nightmare or else that would usrely be giving him nightmares for the rest of the night. He blinked as he felt Nora's head above his own andhe relaxed slightly and smiled just a bit, closing his eyes again and he didn't say anything after that, hoping that the other would fall asleep. He could practically feel the man's tiredness coming off in waves.

Shifting lightly and moving his head a bit made Kyuzo blink some before making a rather confused look which seemed normal, to blank really to be a confused facial expression. "The only one that seemed to wake me up is my darn nightmares. I have them alot and each time I have them my mask burns." Kyuzo touched his mask and he tried to think of some way he could make it not burn at all. What would Ittou-sensei say about his mask, Kyuzo knew that if his sensei or rather his old sensei see this mask he would surely be asking some questions. Kyuzo was asking questions as well. "I am pretty sure this would be stupid to ask, does Mori-san have a hammer or something?" Kyuzo was faintly joking about that but he was starting to hate the mask to where he wanted to pull it off. Though he knew the chances of that happening were slim, Kyuzo hated that the mask was glued to his skin.

Mori blinked and he looked up to Kyuzo with a small frown and he stayed silent for a bit, burying his face into the man's chest as he listens to his heart beat for a few seconds. The mask burned when he was dreaming about his nightmare? How strange. What kind of stuff did they use that could make something inanimate do something like that...He stared at the joke and frowned at Kyuzo as if to say that that wasn't funny, he was worried about him and a hammer was hardly going to help with taking off a mask. He huffed and looked away with a frown.

"How about a pair of pliers?"

Kyuzo's eyebrows shifted in a twitching manner before sighing and rubbing his mask again. "They just placed this on here for some reason. It has to be glued on my face for a reason. Maybe the humans wanted to know what made me tick? Either that or maybe they just found it funny to place this on my face." Frowning some did he shake his head silently before looking to Mori looking away and after sometime did he frown again before making Mori look to him. "Oi, look at me. I told you to only look at me didn't I?" Gasping lightly did he sigh, Kyuzo's face looked down as a small coloration of pink/ red comes over his high points of his cheeks.

Mori stared at Kyuzo's chest, thinking about why they would put the mask on him. What service did it provide? Kyuzo wasn't involved in the war in any way as far as Mori was concerned so it would be useless to give him something that would end up be used for soem sort of spying machine so the humans could figure out what the Races are doing... The neko blinked as he felt his face being shifted back in Kyuzo's direction and he stared for a moment before blushing slightly and giving him a nod.. He had promised. Well, at least said he would but he was also here with Kyuzo when he could have been outside, taking care of the girls so wasn't his attention enough?

"Sorry..."

He sighed slightly and gace Kyuzo a small smile as he noticed him gasp and blush. It was easy to forgive a person who immediatly found out that what they did could have possibly have been offensive and Kyuzo was very very easy to forgive.

"Maybe they put the mask on to see if you looked good in it?"

He asked teasingly, pushing at Kyuzo's chest lightly but not enough to where it would hurt or actually seperate them.

Kyuzo made a doubtful face to that response and he looked to Mori's hands seeing them push him which earned a grunt from the 185 year old. Shaking his head some before smiling a little, Kyuzo couldn't help but say softly. "No need to apologize. I shouldn't of said for you to keep your attention on me when obviously you have others who need your attention more. I'm afraid I am asking to much. Oh, and I highly doubt that they wanted to put this mask on me just to see if I look good in it. Actually I think it is punishment for it does torment me so sometimes." Kyuzo placed his head down some and closed his one eye and as he did that did he softly touch his own lips with his hands as if checking if his lips felt fine. Kyuzo remembered when he had escaped that he bit them to hard and so he was wondering if they were healed which he was pretty sure that they were.

Mori chuckles and he buries his face into Kyuzo's chest and wraps his arms around the other, not minding at all that he was wanting attention; Kyuzo reminded him of a child almost just then and that was almost cute in a way~. He nodded once to the apology to show that he was forgiven because he guessed that the other would take no for an answer. He blinked at the other as he noticed him fingering his own lips and he stared curiously before squirming in the bed, trying to get up under the covers and getting tangled in Kyuzo's kimono and he leaned up to peck his friend on the lips playfully and he pulls away a bit, smiling innocently.

"Besides the fact that its stuck to your face and it burns somehow, it actually does really make you look rather mysterious~. We'll figure out how to remove it without hurting you, I promise."
