Higashi-machi

The sky was darkened due to the change in time. It was nighttime, it seemed. A quick flash passed by the eyes of several bystanders. The flash was none other than the new arrival in town. He stopped as people stared quizzically. The male stood at six foot one and a quarter inch. His birth name was Lucian Edgeworth, but he chose to go by the name of Chukonen. A light grin formed in place of his smile.
"Staring is very rude!"

Mio had been walking down the sidewalk when she saw a flash of light. Blinking her eyes, as if to test to make sure she could still see, she looked around for the source of the light. Seeing the strange man with mint green hair she stared openly and didnt bother to look away when he made the comment about staring being rude.

A humored chortle escaped past Chukonen's grin. It seemed a few did not look away. Did he really surprise them that much? Well, he was not one to be the silent type upon impressions. With a swift movement, Chukonen cracked his neck. He then noticed the one person looking at him. He moved forward, tilting his head to the side. Despite his flamboyant appearance, he spoke politely.
"Hello, there."

Mio raised an eyebrow at the man in front of her and switching her bag of clothes to her other shoulder she looked him up and down. "Hello. If I may ask...What exactly are you?" She tilted her head to the side in a questioning manner and kept her eyes locked on his.

"What am I?"
Chukonen gave this a long and hard thought. Upon thinking, he could say many things. A project, a failure, a vampire... He gave a shrug of his shoulders. The question was straight to the point, and Chukonen liked that fact.
"Project vampire of Professor Xanthropoldis. I am a pureblood vampire. My name is Lucian Apollo Edgeworth, but you may address me as Chukonen, or whatever suits."
Chukonen eyed the female in a suspicious manner. At least she was polite with the question. He extended his right hand out, the more commonly used, for a handshake. Appearance wise, he seemed to be fairly peaceful, as he was the same mentally.

"Chu...ko...nen. Hm." Mio looked at his hand and then back up at his face. Shifting her backpack up her back farther she took his hand. But instead of shaking it she bowed a little before straightening and looking at him again. "Your different. It intrigues me." Her lips quirked up into a small smirk and she looked down at their clasped hands noticing just how much larger his hand was than her own.

Chukonen gave a light smile. So he was intriguing? That was the first time someone had told him that, so he was somewhat honored. After so, he took his hand back, allowing it to drop to his side. He seemed to walk in a complete circle around the female, examining her from head to toe. He then gave an amused grin.
"I'm afraid I did not catch your name."

Mio watched him walk around her with a straight face and as she turned her gaze back to the sidewalk ahead of her she pulled the hem of her black t-shirt down. She made humming noise in the back of her throat to agree with him. "I suppose you didn't. My name is Kokugawa, Mio." Then, in a sarcastic way, she 'curtsied' and added "At your service."

Chukonen's gold eyes flashed in amusement with the sarcasm she added. He stood in a silent manner, tilting his head to the side. The name immidiately clicked in his mind, being a signal he would remember. It was short, so it would be easy to remember either way. Despite that, it was unusual, therefore, he admired the name. He gave a light smile, bowing his head.
"My, what a lovely name you have."

Mio dropped her bag on the ground and growled at it before turning her gaze back up to Chukonen. "Why thank you." She gave him a small smile and fixed her shirt again. "Where is it you come from Mr. Project vampire of professor Xanthropoldis?"

Chukonen rubbed the back of his head, his fingers rustling his mint green hair. He watched as the bag dropped to the ground. He raised an eyebrow, but said nothing about it. After hearing what she had to say, he gave a simple answer, a wide grin forming as he spoke about his home country.
"Ich komme aus Deutschland. I come from Germany. As for yourself?"

Her eyes widened for a second befor she gave him a small smirk. "I'm originally from England. But I have lived many places and Germany was one of them. Such a beautiful place." She once again took to 'examining' him, her smirk still firmly in place.

Chukonen's expression seemed to lighten up. Another from Germany? He seemed pleased to hear this. He gave a light smirk, noticing Mio was examining him. It was humorous, but at the same time, a little flattering.
"Do I intrigue you that much that you cannot look away?"

She nodded her head slightly and hummed in agreement before she realized what she was doing, but when her brain finally caught up with her she turned a bright red. "I-I mean no! I-Its just...I'm just...ugh!" She quickly turned her gaze to the fencing beside the sidewalk and clenched her teeth together to make sure she didn't say another word. It's not that she wasn't a lost cause already, because she was. So she simply stared a the fencing.

Chukonen raised an eyebrow. He laughed, a musical tone in his voice. He did not know whether she was being truthful or not. He took a step forward, lifting her face so he may view it. A polite smile was visible as he did so.
"My, I do take it as a compliment, but if you don't think so, then you don't have to."
Chukonen allowed his hand to drop to his side. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, giving a sigh. He fixed his tie, turning his head to look away.

Mio opened her mouth to say something but closed it again when no words seemed to form. Trying again she lowered her eyes, trying to will the color away from her cheeks. "I-It would only make sense to keep my actions for their original intent...as a compliment." She looked up at him again, her cheeks still red, but a small smile on her face. Noticing he was looking away she lifted her hand and poked his cheek, hoping that it wouldn't cause a bad reaction. "I'm not very good around males. If you couldn't tell already. I apoligize if i offended you."

Chukonen felt something poke his cheek. He furrowed his eyebrows, a light color coming to his pale skin. He allowed it to subside, then looked back at Mio. He gave a brief chuckle, shrugging his shoulders. He had no problem with anything, so he was not offended. He grinned, patting her head like an adult would do to a child.
"Not a problem, Miss Kokugawa."

She closed one of her eyes as he patted her head. "I'm not a child you know." But as she crossed her arms across her chest she realized that she had just contradicted her own statement. Looking at him again she shook her head. "You are strange."

Chukonen snickered at her words. He watched as she folded her arms over her chest, rolling his eyes. He then gasped, placing a hand on his chest as she said he was strange.
"Oh! That saddens me, Mio!"
After feigning sadness, he began to laugh hysterically. He knew he was not that great at acting, and he also knew he failed in his attempt to act offended.

She looked at him for a moment before biting her lower lip to try and keep her laughter in. But knowing she wouldn't be able she let go of her lower lip and laughed right along with him. She uncrossed her arms and brought a hand up to wipe away a tear that had fallen from her eye and was rolling down her cheek. After calming down a bit she smiled, a full smile, and sighed happily. "Contaigous laughter is the best kind."

"That, it is!"
Chukonen simply composed himself, running his hand through his mint green locks in a simple manner. He smiled at Mio calmly. He then looked away, examining all of the other bystanders. They all seemed to go their own way. He fell silent as he watched the other people simply pass by. They seemed human, but that was not true for most. Chukonen bit his bottom lip, his fangs seeming to protrude out as he did. He closed his eyes tightly, pushing away his thirst for blood. This many people around seemed to trigger it quite well.

Seeing his fangs spiked Mio's curiosity so she stepped closer to him and noticing that he was looking around she looked to see what he was watching or looking at. Her eyesbrows came together in confusion, she didnt understand what was going on. But she shook away her confusion as her curiousity overtook her again. "Sugoi."

Chukonen opened his eyes. He had finally calmed himself, giving a sigh of relief. He then looked at Mio. He tried to ignore the others that were around, focusing solely on her.
"My... apologies. I can normally keep control, but with so many people around, it is difficult."

"It's hardly your fault." She took a step back and picked up her backpack. "Would you like to go somewhere with less people?" Mio adjusted her bag on her shoulder so she was comfortable and smirked. "Unless you want a very early breakfast." she shrugged and giggled. "It's up to you." She looked up at the dark sky for a minute before adding. "A very very early breakfast...or it could be a late dinner maybe." She laughed and looked at him.
