Balcony

The neko walked outside and let go of Kyuzo to go stand by the edge and stared over. It wasn't a very tall building but the room he owned was at the top. His ears were perked high on his head and he leaned out a little farther before pulling himself back in and turned to go sit on the patio set that he had bought, falling over into a swing seat and smirked up to Kyuzo, his eyes closing. "Neh, so much more peaceful out here~."

"Hai." Kyuzo said this when his eyes took set of the view and a small smile graced his lips, the coloring of his pale cheeks became lightly brightened as if the colors were reflecting off of his face. Shifting his eyes away from the view did he take notice to Mori who was so calm and adored the view much like how he had done right when he saw it. "So, you wish to speak with me? This pleases me some, I wished to speak with you as well." Kyuzo said this almost lively as he placed himself against the railing of the balcony with his arms now crossed over his chest. One foot was lifted and leaned against the railing while the other remained on the floor, he seemed to be lost in thought. Kyuzo was debating what he should say to Mori, he really didn't do anything besides reading books and putting together something quite complex. All that he understood was that to make the conversation interesting and fun.

Mori picked up a pillow from the seat, wondering when he had put this on here before looking back over to the male and lifted his ears. "Hm? So tell me what you've been up to, neh? How's the bar going?" He kicked the ground gently so he would wing back and forth and held the pillow in his lap as he got comfortable, listening to the sounds of people in the street and the cars going by. The city had a pleasant wind going through it and he could pick up the faint smell of barbecue.

Kyuzo's expression became a funny one and he lightly laughed with his head down both of his eyes closed then. "It is alright. You know how it is." Opening his eyes did he lift his head enough to look at Mori but then glancing over his shoulder did he see how life continued to move on and he kind of frowned at that. "How is your brother doing? Did you help him to where he was satisfied?" Kyuzo glanced to Mori with a open expression though his eyes seemed to dull with his own curiousity.

Mori dared to think of the simple life that Kyuzo had and smirked lightly, wondering if the man was truthfully telling him everything but he didn't want to bother him anymore about it. He picked up his arms and folded them behind his head as he looked up to the sky. "My brother will never be satisfied." The male started off rather dramatically. "Although I guess I can't really complain, I do like to travel around and everything, see new things but doing his work is exhausting!"

Kyuzo frowned when Mori had spoke about his brother, but at the same time he over looked it and smirked. "I see." Kyuzo moved himself away from the railing and approached Mori with a kind smirk that looked all to innocent and nice. "Traveling is fun. I am glad that you witnessed it. Sure, I missed you when you were gone but your happiness is more then I could ever ask for." Kyuzo stopped infront of Mori with his eyes shifted to the side with a small smile like frown over his features.

Mori shrugged his shoulder absently and he smiled back to the male although there was something about Kyuzo's that made him hesitant, just a bit. "Hm.." The neko didn't know quite what to saw and he couldn't help but laugh just a bit. "Heh, thanks. Traveling if fun~."

Kyuzo glanced to Mori and he frowned some what, he then leaned himself down to look at Mori. This was when he shifted his head to the side and he smiled way to happy like. "I am sure. It makes me happy. I could never want you to be locked up like a bird. Go out and fly, Mori-kun~" Kyuzo chuckled softly with his eyes closed, a faint pain hit his stomach when he spoke of Mori doing what he had said. It almost scared him but at the same time he wanted Mori to know that he wanted him to be happy and not always be stuck by his side.

Kyuo was lying. He didn't want him to leave, perhaps he didn't want Mori to be stuck here all the time but he also didn't seem very eager to have him go as well. He wasn't used to be wanted most of the time when he was around here. People were annoyed by him. The neko opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it and closed his mouth but went ahead and smiled anyway. 
 "Ironic, considering I'm part cat.."
 He mumbled. He didn't like leaving his friends but he didn't like being stuck in one place for very long. It was just better that he get out there. Get out of the house and see new things. Go to new places.

Kyuzo nodded with his expression faintly open with a hint of a mysterious kind of expression, it was hard to tell if that known mysterious expression was good or not. Fixing himself up by standing straight did he allow himself to sit on the hard surfaced floor of the balcony with his head leaned against one lone railing. "Hai. You are a neko, you are allowed to do what you want when you want too. I care for you alot but I believe I am becoming to spoiled, I want others to give me attention and stay near me. At times when they stay near me do they end up leaving anyway. I am selfish and I can't help in being so. I just don't anyone who I care for to get hurt." Kyuzo's golden hues were closed as he just sat there at Mori's feet, his knees were up to his chest while his arms were at his sides not at all moving. "They get to close and I end up wanting them to stay near me. I am a fool..." Narrowing his eyes when they opened did he make a face which was void of emotion. "That is why I am not placing any selfish emotions on you, Mori-kun. If you left me I do not know what I would do. Being beside me for so long has made me realize something. It is complicated and appealing which I have to admit."

"There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep the ones that you care about close, Kyuzo-kun." Mori rested his arm across his eyes, blocking out the sun and hiding his expression. He didn't see a problem with it. It wasn't like he was trying to keep him here, he was just a little uncomfortable with having Mori go.
 The neko shrugged his shoulders lightly. "Besides, traveling takes a while to plan for so it isn't like i'm going to be going off every other day or something..."

Kyuzo lightly lifted his head and he smiled lightly. "That makes me happy." Closing his eyes for a time did he look almost peaceful sitting there and allowing the nature to brighten up his colors some on his face. "I am just glad that you understand., Mori-kun" Kyuzo couldn't help but lightly mess with his hair with his finger for a time until glancing to Mori and he smirked a tad. "If you wanted too. You could just stay away from me, I would surely understand that as well." A faint tease escaped his lips as he said this, both eyes were now looking down as he continued to mess with his hair with his lone one finger on his right hand.

Mori flicked his ear and he smirked to himself. "Right, but would you be able to? Hm?" Of course he was teasing, he wouldn't just up and leave without saying a word to Kyuzo who had been his friend from the first time that he had come here. But he did like to joke around. He couldn't really imagine leaving this place for good though. Too many memories.

Kyuzo eyes took a different detail as his pupils became sharper in detail, though he was messing around with his hair he didn't notice or allowed his head to lift either much. "I would follow you to the ends of the Earth." Lightly laughing did he close his eyes and then standing up did he look to Mori with his hands at his sides. Kyuzo smirked as he placed himself on his knees and allowed his arms to lay next to Mori with his head over his arms. "Though, if you told me to stay away. I would."

Mori could sense the other come closer and he chuckled, "To the ends of the Earth hm~?" He seemed amused by the thought, more so that there wasn't restrictions to where he would go and where he would travel. He removed his arm and glanced at Kyuzo before reaching over and ruffling his hair, messing it up and he stuck his tongue out at the other. "I doubt you would~."

Kyuzo smirked to what Mori said and to his gesture, not moving once did he look to Mori for a moment and then closed his eyes as he allowed the smirk to form into a full blown smile. This was when he allowed himself to think about how peaceful the time was being and rather he liked it to some degree. Kyuzo wasn't much of a character to love peaceful times but the ones with Mori didn't seem to faze him much, lightly opening his eyes did he poke Mori in the leg and did a small laugh as if playfully ignoring him.

Mori blinked to the poke on his leg and he looked to the male, curious as to what exactly he was doing but couldn't quite understand the private joke that Kyuzo was laughing at. He smiled slightly and shook his head, chuckling under his breath although he didn't know. "You're so silly at times, Kyuzo-kun." He raised his head to the sky and closed his eyes, letting a small sigh escape.

Kyuzo simply closed his eyes with a small smile on now. "Silly is another way of calling one foolish. However, I know I am foolish." Opening his golden hues did he decide to look outward toward the life outdoors. It was quite nice, actually it made him calmer and somewhat open. Perhaps, exposed was a better word. Kyuzo didn't like feeling that way which is why he made himself out to be bored or displeased, if one thought him to be bored or displeased they would not want anything to do with him. "Even if you did ask me to leave you alone. How could I? That is like asking me to not breath. Of course, I'm being a guy who likes to believe on novels and such. Books tell you more than the average person, they can teach you. You just have to let them teach you and become wise." Kyuzo said this as if in deep thought, it appeared he was talking to himself and actually he wanted to share his thoughts with Mori.

"Hm, I believe everyone is a little bit foolish, some more than others." He muttered to himself as he looked to Kyuzo who gazed off at that moment and pondered in his head. Kyuzo spoke of where Mori would travel once more and about books. The neko often wondered what went through his mind. It would seem that he had no problem in sharing when it was just them together. "Books are quite wondrous, it's almost sad that they age such as humans. Driven to be useless with the touch that can turn them back into the ash from wence they came."

Kyuzo nodded his head with his eyes closed. "It is unfair. If we all read a decent book then we would not look down on others as often and allowed change." Shifting his eyes to the side however did he faintly smirk for a moment. Books held a lot of information, to much for one person to hold onto. Though, that was the thrill of it. Kyuzo adored reading more than he did like going out and making friends. In a odd sense, he felt as if the books understood him more. "What we don't realize, we are like the books. Using others and then tossing them aside. Foolishness indeed." Kyuzo lightly laughed before closing his eyes again and this time going silent with a exposed look over his features.

"That's silly." Mori chuckles. "Yes, it is certainly wrong to demoralize others but it is just part of a beings nature, I would think. And besides, change is what is needed for this world to move forward in life. We have already gone through so much but there is still even more to be done." He shrugged his shoulders, not feeling up for a deep conversation in which he would pick apart the pieces of what he thought of the world around him.
 "Mmhmm." Which was why had said that earlier statement about being returned to ash. "I dare think that you are thinking quite negatively." He poked Kyuzo in the head, smirking slightly.

Kyuzo made a funny face when he was poked but then he looked to Mori finally or it appeared that way for he allowed a slow smile to grace his features. "More to be done? Honestly, I think that mankind can not be happy. More to be done doesn't begin to describe it." Kyuzo finally sat up and then slowly stood up with his right hand upon his side while the other went up and wiped his forehead of what he felt sweat come off it. "Negative. No, I am thinking along the lines of simple and honest. Perhaps cruel and foolish. Who knows." Kyuzo shrugged with both of his shoulders going up and then he looked to Mori with a entertained look over his features, after making such a face did he slowly but softly sit next to him. Raising his arm up and over Mori's shoulders did he allow his face to get a few inches closer. "Lucky you. Adults are foolish, Mori-kun. You don't have to be a adult yet."

Mori would have to agree. Especially with this war going on. The humans could have very well just left them alone to their own fate but no, they were determined to see that their land is done adn gone. Their happiness and their peace. They would never be left alone. the curses of being different, those weak minded being would say. He nearly hissed at the thought but turned his head away the quick flash of anger in his features. And the thought of being compared to a book. Perhaps it was more just figurative than literal. No, he would think this most definite. He blinked and glanced back at Kyuzo as he felt his arms wrap around his neck and he let his head rest against the male's shoulder. 
 "Lucky, huh...?" The male thought aloud, his tone dulled from its sharpness from his ranting just then. "I suppose one could see it that way."

Kyuzo smirked with his eyes lightly open, his expression really did look exposed. "You are lucky." a moment or so later did he place his head over Mori's with his eyes shifted to the side. Mori was strong but at times he thought that he had pushed himself to hard at times, Kyuzo looked up to Mori but at the same time he cared for him. This care for Mori was great and he wondered if he should be scared or if not scared pretended to be. Kyuzo kept his head over Mori for a time while leaving his arm around Mori as he continued to look to the side in thought.
