MARKINGS: Karasu has a tattoo of a elegant cross on his forearm that was stitched in with an inked thread. He also always wears a silver cross necklace.

PERSONALITY: Karasu is very sly and secretive. He rarely reveals anything of his personal life, and becomes defensive if someone invades his privacy. Karasu is brash and impulsive. He usually doesn't think before he does something, but is quick on his feet. He will almost always hide all of his emotions behind a smile or a blank expression, as to not reveal himself to someone untrustworthy. When Karasu isn't hiding behind his fake expressions, he is making witty remarks; which is his self-defense mechanism. If he were to open up to someone (which he very seldom does), Karasu would probably be leaning on that person for support.

HISTORY: Karasu's mother raised him most of his life, since his father died when he was 6. He saw the massacre, fueling his hatred for those...creatures. A vampire had come into their house and slashed him, torturing him slowly. All Karasu could do was watch in horror, so frozen by fear that he couldn't even scream. His mother wanted him to have a normal life and try to live on like nothing had happened; but Karasu couldn't do that. He decided to find his uncle, who had a collection of weapons. Karasu traveled there, claiming that his school had a field trip. He arrived, finding crosses and stakes all over the walls. After about an hour of searching, his Uncle arrived bloodstained. His Uncle claimed that he was cutting up something he had caught, but what he had caught wasn't completely dead. A vampire jumped down the stairs, tackling his uncle and scratching at his face. Karasu took a stake off the wall and shoved it into the vampires face. His uncle beheaded the creature and burned its body, explaining to Karsasu why he had so many crosses and stakes. Karasu wanted to learn how to hunt these creatures, blaming them for any evil he could find. His uncle agreed to train him on hunting, showing to him that there was more than just vampires. That there were many races in the world. After a week, his mother called frantically, shouting incoherently. The only word he could make out was 'help'. When they got back to his mother's house, blood was everywhere. She had been murdered the same way his father had; by a vampire. Now the only person he had left was his uncle. He continued to train with him; to become the ultimate hunter and exterminate every last vampire. He trained for 4 years, making any weaknesses his strengths. Karasu finally set out on his own journey at the age of 26 on a mission to destroy any vampire that he could find, along with any other race he ran in to. On this long journey of his, he met a girl he became fond of. It took Karasu quite a while to actually talk to the woman, keeping his true feelings holed up. Once she heard his story, she attempted to explain that not all races were evil, revealing that she herself was an elf. After telling him this, she left, fearing for her own safety. Karasu couldn't believe that some creatures weren't evil savage monsters, but still hesitates when hunting an elf. One night at an inn, Karasu decided that he needed an assistant of some sort. He decided that rather than find one, he would make one. He looked up many instructions and rituals, and fashioned a wrist watch that could turn into a spider at command. All he had to say was 'Kyuketsuki.' After creating the machine, he made sure that it had instincts of its own when hunting, performing rituals that specialized the spider in hunting vampires. Now, Mimamoru and Karasu are in Miyagi where there are many other races to hunt. To him, this is just a forest full of game and he has all the ammo he could ask for.
