Sakura Village

Peeta had walked about all day on his two legs trying to find somewhere, to sit in the sun shine and hoped to not get too disturbed. After all it's even awhile since he just sat in the sunshine and watched his new world go by. Basically he just wanted to sit in the sun and watch people going on about there daily lives, coming here to this Sakura Village it seems peaceful all of them are traditional, it was a nice touch, he had to admit, modern day, lacked the homeyness that this village had. His leather shoes hit the ground easily. Walking till he found a nice place to sit. It was half under the tree by the river bed, that follows through out the village. He sat down easily with his feet out in front of him. His skin soaking in the rays easily. Yet he wasn't boiling hot, due to his leather choice in attires. He was fine with the heat.

Evangelista was hesitant about heading into the small village. She would've much rather gone to the beach that was near the town, much less people, but her father had been out gardening and would've asked where she was going if he saw her leaving. Evangelista decided to avoid him all together, so she wouldn't have to lie. She had never been around here before, but there still weren't as many people as downtown, or closer to Miyagi. Even though she could accept the fact there weren't a lot of people, she still shook a bit, and her hands were slightly sweaty. As she moved through the small quiet town, she kept her eyes out for everyone around her, noticing the two older women chatting quietly, and the man a little while in front of her sit down by a tree near the river bed. She held her notebook closer to her chest, shying away from anyone that came anywhere near her, scooting away, slightly afraid.

Is Peeta sat there soaking in the rays of the sunshine, he falls back on to his back enjoying the feel of the sun. It's been awhile since he did this. It was calming, that was until a strange sent hit his noes, if he was in his wolf form he would of sneezed, it was a weird scent to him. His eyes pealed open, they closed then he first laid down. His eyes stare up at the tree above him. He had smelled a scent like that before a long time a go. Elves? His first thought was. They were still around? He lifted his head slightly away from the ground to see around him and his eyes instantly on the source of the scent A Young Female. Yet his head instantly fell back on to the grass lazily as if he had lost interest and closed his eyes. His mind was racing thinking then was the last time he met an elf? 20 Years ago? They are still are elves? He thought they would of vanished from the world by now, yet he seemed to be mistaken.

Evangelista shifted her satchel, uncomfortable with the small group of people around her age that was making their way towards her. The only way she could go around them was to move towards the river, and the man sitting by the tree. She would much rather go near the one person than push through the group. As she moved closer to the man, she glanced back at the group hoping they hadn't notice her strange actions. Thankfully none of them had noticed, but since she was paying attention to the group, she wasn't paying attention to how close she was walking to the man, and how fast. Because of this, she trips over him, a soft gasp leaving her mouth as she falls, but she catches herself. Quickly she grabs her notebook and writes, possibly in the sloppiest way, 3 different apologizes saying how sorry she was and how she hadn't meant it, and holds it up the the man, a blush creeping up her face in her form of embarrassment.

What felt like a small kick and then a thud, the smell easily gave it away that it was the elfling that striped on him. He lazily opens his eyes as if he had all the time in the word and half sat up but only to be greeted by a note pad. He blinked a couple of times, looking at the girl then to the note pad and back to the girl. She was mute? Huh? He never thought elves would have problems like this in the feature? Speech problems? Yet he nodded it the girl, who indeed look embraced. Peeta only sent the girl a kind smile "It's fine don't worry about it, baby elf." Then went back to laying back in the sun yet his eyes were still open staring at the girl.

Seeing the kind smile, Evangelista gave a small smile back, she was glad that she hadn't bothered him that much. Though his words caused her confusion. Baby elf? Giving him a confused look, she quickly wrote her thoughts down and held it up to him. Baby elf? I am most certainly not a baby. Since she hadn't been around people, she didn't realize that it could be slang, and he may not actually be calling her a baby. As she let her read him read her note, she started to pout, slightly feeling offended by being called a baby.

He heard the pen writing on paper, he eyes shifted to the elf again. Reading her note, he chuckled at her pout too. "Your very young. Thats what I mean, Compared to some elves i met along long time ago." He said this his irish accent came out a bit strong. Peeta this time he actually sat up and stayed sitting there on the grass. He looked at her and chuckled again "Pouting like that only makes it worse" He spoke again smiling.

Evangelista shift in her place, changing her position so she was more comfortable, and to take up the time to think of how she would respond to what the man had said. His comment about her pouting had made her smile, and even laugh a little, but her main thought was his first response. He had met other elves, she wasn't lucky enough to meet any, besides her parents, and she envied him for it and it showed on her face as she started to write again.  Sorry for my assumption, I'm never really around people, only my parents. That's the same reason why I write instead of speak. I'm Evangelista, by the way. She couldn't tell if she was nervous, and rambling, or if she just was speaking her mind, without fully thinking it through, but she showed the man her response anyway

Peeta's stormy fray eyes glance over the written words, they were easily readable for anyone to understand. He saw her face change to envy, yet he didn't really ignore it. He just sent her a smile.
"I'm Peeta, Evangelista, it's nice to see elfling like your self still going strong, after all other's have faded away."
He spoke kindly to her, after all he wasn't insulting her, she was strong in her own way he guessed everyone was. Strong willed the girl might be? Strong enough to survive, but loud enough for all to hear, after all silence was the loudest noise to her exist. Yet Peeta's words obviously hinting he was older then he appeared. Yet the words he also used was the fact he hadn't seen many elves around for a long time, due to them fading away from the world. His hand rose off the ground and held it out to his side as he was offering her to join him if she wished.

Her face softened at his words, he was being kind about it, rather than rubbing it in her face or asking if she knew what had happened to the rest of them. Not that she could answer since her parents only told her stories about the others. Though, since he was saying he knew others, he would have been more likely to know what happened, and that he was much older than he looked. As she started to write back, she heard movement next to her to see Peeta standing up, and holding out a hand to her. Evangelista took it gratefully, stood up, and brushed herself off before finishing her writing. When she showed it she had a small smile on her face. It's nice to meet you Peeta. I'm not that strong, I have my mom and dad,at least for the time being. I do apologize for my slow replies, and in writing. Evangelista normally didn't apologize so much for her writing, but she wasn't sure what his reaction to it was, so she figured it was one of those better safe than sorry.

"Nah.."
Was all Peeta said with the wave of his hand. Dismissing her Apology about he writing and again offering her to sit next to him as he laid down back into the sunshine hitting his skin and his skin drinking up his skin. He seemed comfortable in the silence as if he was part of nature himself, not minding the bustle of people on the other side of the river.
"Welcome to join me in the sunshine if you like, Evangel" he spoke shortening her name easily, as his eyes slipped closed for a few seconds and opened one eye at her easily with a friendly smile to shortening her name, hoping she wasn't insulted by it.

(Sorry i hadn't had my laptop for the last couple of days i've been trying to do it on my phone but it kept failing each time.)

Evangelista decided to stop apologizing for writing, there really wasn't anyway that Peeta could have missed them, so he must not care all that much. Shrugging at the thought, she looked around. People were still moving about, some quietly, others just the opposite. Seeing them from here, she smiled. She didn't mind seeing people from afar, but up close she couldn't help, but try to get away. She could handle one person at a time, but a group made her legs shake in an uncomfortable way. Peeta's words pulled her back to their conversation, glancing to where he had been, only to be confused and look around for a moment. Evangelista then processed what he had said and looked down to see him in the sun. The nickname had caused a small blush to creep up her face, no one had ever given her a nickname before, but she liked it. As she sat down, next to Peeta, she began to write again, showing him when she was done, a smile displayed on Evangelista's face. I've never had a nickname before, I like it. 

(I'm so sorry!! I had band camp and the week before that was my last free week so I was taking up as much time as I could with fun things, and not computer ^.^' I sowwy!!)

His ears could easily hear her writing, he turned his head slightly to read her note to him. He couldn't help but grin
"Well, Little Evangel.." His gloved leather hand rose up and landed gently on her head, gently ruffling it but not causing a mess, it was more like a pat. "You better get use to it my girl." His Irish accent was fading in and out with his words. "So there's need to blush over it.." He teased her gently poking her cheek afterwards. His charming Grin ever so pleasant on his features.

Evangelista froze at the touch, starting at him with wide eyes. She's never been touched by anyone but her parents, or maybe a handshake from a person she had just met. So when his hand moves from her head, she replaces it with her own, confusion written on her face. After Peeta pokes her cheek and she sees his grin, she figures he means it in a nice way. Evangelista smiled and laughed a little, letting her hand fall back down into her lap, as she started to write again, holding it up as soon as she was done. You're a weird man, but in a good way. You have an accent, where's it from? If you don't mind my asking.

Peeta couldn't help but chuckle and the girls actions, they were very innocent in his eyes.
His laughter creased as he read her message. Yet his charming smile ever present still. Yet his laughter came back as he read it. Clearly he wasn't insulted at all, in fact he playfully spoke "Now, Evangel, Do i need to find you parents to get them to teach you manners, about not calling people weird" He calmed his laughter down. "It's old english mix with old Irish, yet I was born in good old London along time ago."

Evangelista pouted at the mention of her parents. She didn't mind that he brought them up, she just didn't want to be told on. Although, after she looked at his expression, she figured he was kidding with her and she could help but smile. She began to write as he was talking, nodding along in response, them holding up her notebook by the time he was done talking. Didn't your parents teach you its not nice to tattle on people. And thats a lot of old, you don't look that old.

"Parent" he corrected the girl easily. "And never, I was a sweet little boy, how worked for a living. I had no time for tattle on beings." He smirked charmingly at the young elf. "I'm take that as a compliment, My Lady. I can age if i want to, but i don't want to. This charming smile needs to find himself a mate before in wrinkles with age." He told her, he didn't mind talking about his past or about himself. He saw no wrong in it, after all the young elf was curious. Yet he didn't mention that he already had a mate before in the past yet she died. "And you, my little lady, Will grow up beautifully, with your golden locks of glamour." he charmed the young girl, giving her compliment about when she'll grow up.

Evangelista started to frown at her quick assumption that Peeta had two parents, but when she realized he only corrected her and moved on, she figured he had come to terms with only having that one parent, and for her to be sad for him would only be giving him pity, and he didn't seem like the kind of person who was pitied. when Peeta speak up again, and she could help but giggle at his comment about finding a mate before he wrinkled. Evangelista began writing when she heard his voice, but her pencil kept moving, though her eyes were on him. Something she had taught herself to do years ago. Although, at the mention of her growing up, she couldn't help, but pout and quickly finished writing and she held it up for him to see, a pout still on her face. How have you not found a mate? You are very charming and nice. And I am grown up! I may not be as old as you, but I am 17.

Peeta couldn't help but look at her pout and shook his head with a smile looking up at the sky, yet it quickly returned to the paper that the elf was writing on.
Ah.. His eyes skimmed over the words written in fine writing, his being gave nothing away that he was kinda still grieving about his lose of his mate, yet he was almost over it now. Still his body didn't betray him at all. He was fine with talking about it. His natural stormy eyes looked at Evangel "I did once. She passed away, there was nothing i could do to stop it. That was about A Decades or so ago." He spoke easily, he lost count of the years that his former mate died. "After all, why live a life in sorrow? Life is for the living and I'm still living. But you My Little Lady, would look youthful regardless your age. Thats the advantage of being an Elf."  He spoke kindly to her, yet he didn't give her much details about his former mates passing, she was to young to hear the horrors of child birth, after all the elfling had her whole life ahead of her to figure that out. Yet he hoped Not in the same way he found out.

As Evangelista listened to Peeta's response, her paper lowered and a frown formed on her face. She hadn't meant to bring up any bad memories, even if Peeta seemed to have almost gotten over the fact his mate was gone, that doesn't mean its not a sensitive topic. Evangelista didn't know much about death, simply because she only really knew her parents and both of them were still around. Even though Evangelista was sorry for bringing up his past, his reply to her about her youth made her smile just slightly. After writing her response, she held it up as she always does, a small smile on her face. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up things of the past. Those aren't always bad things, but you always have to look forward right? And I will be sure to put my youth to good use. In a good way, of course.

Peeta rose an eyebrow at the young elf as she basically apologised to him. "No need for an Apology, I was the one how told you about it. Worst I could have done is lie to you about it, young Lady. But that again is not in my nature to lie.." He smiled hoping to kinda end the horrible subject. "Well what are you planning to be in the future?" He asked. He looked back up to the sky seeing the sun has moved slightly round, he tilted his head more back to have the light shine into his eyes.
